Orange Juice Paloma
This simple twist on the classic Paloma is like Summer in a glass, perfect for those hot summer days!
OK, I’ve got to be honest with you guys. Up until a month ago, I had never even heard of a Paloma. I’m a margarita girl through and through. I mean, come on, how can you go to a Mexican restaurant and order a cocktail other than a margarita? Well, I finally did with just a little convincing and discovered margarita’s lovely cousin, the paloma. It’s got the tartness I love from margaritas, and a splash of tequila. What’s not to love?
Traditionally, palomas are made with grapefruit soda or juice and tequila. Easy right? This combo is good on it’s own, although I’ve never really been a huge fan of grapefruit on its own. I’m the girl who dowses her grapefruit in sugar before she’ll take a bite. So, I would typically add loads of sugar to my drink before taking a sip. However, adding just a little orange juice into the mix really balances out the sourness of the grapefruit. You’re left with an amazing balance of tart and sweet that leaves you feeling oh, so refreshed.
This drink is so easy and simple to make. It’s become my favorite drink to sip on while outside enjoying the weather. I hope you love it as much as I do.
