Lighter Cherry Limeade Slushie
I’m so in love with Summer right now. I’m trying to cram in every barbecue, pool day, and ice cream cone I possibly can. The only caveat, it’s H-O-T out there which makes running to a Sonic or other fast food restaurant for a sugary drink so, so, so tempting. This cherry limeade provide you with a healthier version of those sugary drinks we crave in the summer. It cures your sweet tooth without adding loads of unnecessary sugar and leaves you feeling refreshed and ready to get back to enjoying your summer.
This drink contains only 4 simple ingredients: cherries, lime sparkling water, lime juice, and ice. I bought my sparkling water from Walmart for 50¢ but you can choose your favorite brand. I love this recipe because it’s fairly cheap to make, tastes amazing, and satisfies you for under 100 calories. This recipe takes advantage of the juicy cherries in season right now and adds a sour kick that I’m in love with. The tart taste is so refreshing, and the cherries really only add to it. This recipe is definitely a keeper for busy summer days.
- 1 Cup Cherries pitted
