June 2017 Stitch Fix Review

This month’s Stitch Fix brought me lots of florals, my favorite for Spring/Summer. This box was definitely needed. My closet is packed with sweaters and scarves, but I really am lacking in clothes for the warmer weather.

What is Stitch Fix?

Stitch Fix is a subscription box that sends five pieces of clothing and accessories right to your doorstep. It’s perfect for people like me who love new clothes but hate going shopping. When you sign up you fill out a style profile, and even get to link to your fashion Pinterest page. My stylists have always been amazing about looking and my clothes board on Pinterest, and sending me some amazing clothes that match my style. There isa $20 styling fee when you order your box, but the best part is that the $20 is deducted if you decide to buy an item from the box, and if you decide to keep all five items, you get 25% off! For the items you don’t want to purchase, you simply send back the rest with free shipping. It’s extremely easy!

Bay to Baubles Riri Pendant Necklace- $28

Status: Returned

I loved the colors of this necklace. I think it would be perfect for layering over high-neck shirts or dresses. I loved the gold and silver mix of this piece, and think it’s pretty neutral as far as what it would match with. This necklace was just a little too similar to a necklace I purchased from a Fix just a few months ago, I couldn’t bring myself to purchase a second one.

Kaileigh Amberly Woven Hem Knit Top- $36

Status: Returned

This top was so soft. I want some sheets made in whatever material this was. I just could not stop touching it! The pattern on this was lovely, and I loved the detail on the bottom. The solid blue on the bottom is slightly transparent, and very pretty. Sadly, this top did just not work for me, despite the prettiness. The fit was pretty boxy on me, and made me look a little too square for my liking.

Articles of Society Braelyn Distressed Scissor Hem Skinny Jean- $68

Status: Returned

This Fix, I asked for a pair of white skinny jeans. I love the look of them, but have never had any luck finding a pair that wasn’t completely see-through when you put them on. Sadly, there weren’t any white jeans in stock this month, but my stylist, Jodi, found my a great alternative with these jeans. I’m usually only a dark denim kind of girl. I was a little apprehensive when I saw the light wash of these jeans, but quickly fell in love when I tried them on. These jeans are super soft, and incredibly comfortable. They had a scissor hem at the bottom which I loved. The detail made them unique, and I loved the rips on the knees as  well. These jeans were amazing. The only thing that stopped me from getting them was my budget. I may just have to put a request in again to get these in another box.

Crescent Nicolas Lace Detail Blouse- $44

Status: Kept

I was actually really hesitant about this top when I first saw it. But I quickly fell in love with the details of it. The fabric is a light, flowy almost satiny kind of feel. It will be perfect for the hot days coming up. This top also has a beautiful lace detail on the back. I find that sometimes lace can be a little overwhelming on shirts. The lace on this shirt is a wonderful surprise when you turn around.  But it can easily be covered with a cardigan for work.

Alice Blue Reilly Halter Top-$44

Status: Returned

I’ll admit, I sometimes cheat and check out my fix online when I get the notification that it has shipped. When I saw this top I was confident I would be purchasing it. I loved the neckline, the colors, and the florals of this shirt. The only thing stopping me from purchasing this top were the sides. They came down a little too low for my liking around the armpits, making it hard to wear with a bra. It would probably be cute with a bralette, but I don’t own one of those at the moment so back in the box it went.

Verdict: Jodi knocked it out of the park again this month. This box screamed early Summer, and I loved the pieces she picked for me. I wore the top I purchased the very night I received my box because I couldn’t bear to take it off. I love the bright colors and patterns of summer, and can’t wait to see what summer pieces I get next month.

What are some summer pieces you guys are looking for this summer?
